I am looking for a save disinfectant that I can clean my duck coop out with. The coop is in my enclosure so the water with the disinfectant will run off into the ground. I'm leary of a lot of products I read that Tractor Supply sells... what are most people using to clean the coops out with. I pressure cleaned it a few times and rinse it down everyday but it really needs something much stronger right now.

I haven't used this yet, but have read a lot about white vinegar. I have 2 quarts of vinegar with peelings of about 4 oranges in it. Letting it steep for a couple of months. I found this on Pinterest and read good reviews about it. My chicken and duck coop is new so I won't need to try it for awhile. I've also read that some people use just vinegar to scrub everything down. The smell will dissipate.

I use white vinegar on other things in my house but was worried about it seeping into the dirt and it might hurt them if they drink it. I guess if it's diluted enough it will be fine... they all line up along the edge of the coop and wait for the water to run off as I clean. Thanks so much... it's interesting about the oranges...

Okay, thanks... seems like this is what people are using. I love essential oils just wasn't sure about using them. I do scrub it out daily so it's not that stinky but could smell better.
