It's nice to see folks not afraid to try new things outdoors with their kiddos.

It is indeed so much better than plain old golf

I was riding my horse one day on some trails and they had a Disc golf course there also that intersected some of the course. I stopped to watch and me and Stilt's stood there and wondered what the ???? LOL. we let them play through and then crossed path's, Stilits then stopped and laid a nice steaming pile of apples right in the farway LOL, We got some odd looks. I like the seriousness of Disc golfers, they have little bag's with several disc's of various shapes and sizes and pretend to do all kinds of golf related thing's. I think it looked fun but if I get that much time I will just grab my club's and go do the real thing LOL. I think it is more for the Whatever Generation though, they seem to like it more.

Delaveaga Disc Golf course here in Santa Cruz, Ca.is where the "NationalMasters Tournament" is held. One of the finest courses built. There is nearly always a wait to play... Crazy... It is fun, though patience is required.

I played many moons ago. Back in the late seventies, we helped the parks dept build a course in Sheboygan, WI. We also got a bunch of the sporting goods stores to carry the golf discs (I still have a couple). They still use the course we built. It was a blast, and free!

I played with my family in a park near Harrisburg PA before I moved. I sucked and it always either rained and got mucky or the heat was unbearable when we went for some reason
