I have had my flock for about a year and I am experiencing my first injury. Exactly one month ago a possum got into my coop and killed one chicken. I also had another one missing. We have been searching for her (or remains) ever since. Today at feeding time she came out of the woods. She's hopping on one leg. I can feel where her hip was dislocated but now healing out of place. She's eating, drinking, and for being down a leg getting around well. There are no vets in my area that are willing to help with chickens, but is there anything I can do? Thank you!
