Hi everybody! New to the forum! Thank you for allowing me join 😁
I’m in KY, have, had 50 chickens total, but back in Feb purchased 6 jersey giants and 6 leghorns to add to our 38 current hens. Just egg layers! It’s June and we’ve introduced the new dozen or teenager as we call them to the senior ladies. lol
In the passed couple weeks, we’ve come up with two dead and other ladies have become bald and tail feathers missing! Are either new breed aggressive? Or is there another issue?

@HollowOfWisps asked good questions. You need A LOT of space for that # of chickens. See-but-no-touch is important with new additions. Adding new birds without that will cause aggressive behavior by your existing flock members. High-nutrition feed. Plenty of calcium for all of those layers. Bullying, overcrowding, and low-nutrition are possible causes for your situation. Sorry to hear you’ve lost a few. I hope you don’t have any more losses. šŸ˜ž

The best solution is to give plenty of space so they can stay away from the bullies. I can't find any other solution to that.
