Thats awesome!

We get a few good ones in the summer most after dark. Our 4acre property has a few singed trees.

Funny story: last summer while at work we had a rare daytime thunderstorm. We could all see the clouds coming closer. They were black. Before the storm was over us we lost power. We all went to the north side of the building to watch. At this point the clouds were turning in the sky, heavy rain, wind and very regular thunder and lightening, loud! We watched a number of lightning go down. Quite the spectacular. One of the mechanics asked "I wonder what I sounds like when lightning strikes beside you?" And BOOM 10 seconds later a strike came down ~100m from us! So loud!!!! I'd say we all jumped... And we have it on video! Rofl

Relámpago del Catatumbo... Lightening of the Catatumbo...

My very very first horse ever was named Relámpago and boy he was quick.

did you know sometimes lightening goes UP.... either from the ground up to the clouds or from the clouds up into the Troposphere....

Not either below but I thought i was cool.

panicking....

I need a BUNCH more of these eggs to hatch.. why can't they ALL hatch within oh, maybe 6 hours... I think that I could manage that without panic.

This is HORRID!

I do not think that I will every try this again (hatching on order)

I set lots of extra eggs..... but that doesn't actually GUARANTEE anything....

Of my Dominique and Leghorn crosses, 14 have hatched, I have 12 eggs left, BUT I NEED 22 TOTAL!

Of the Marans, ONLY 4 have hatched, there are 13 more eggs in there!!!! But I NEED 11 total!

Of the Olive Eggers... I knew I wouldn't get enough, and I told people that I would be short... but I told them that I was pretty sure there would be extra Marans (since I needed 11 total and set 17 eggs, and then 4 more eggs 3 days late).... And the Olive Eggers have actually hacthed pretty well.... 4 have hatched and I only have one more Olive egg in there...

where is the color calculated on the internet?

Is a Dominique Rooster over white hens, and dark brown hens, always gonna make the Cuckoo color?

Not a single chick has hatched out in a dark brown color......

The Leghorn Rooster is dark brown.... those are the only roosters over the Leghorn and Dominique (and several other breed) hens.

Something like 90% of lightning goes from the clouds up... Neat stuff
