Yeah, I suppose you should start feeling something there soon.

Jem, that's how most first timers feel about it... it certainly looks... hmm... interesting.

I feel like all first timers. .... sorry.... I don't think I would like it taste wise either, I don't like rye very much.

Horrid about your neighbors.

ok I have a question about olive eggers............ does it have to be a dark brown egg layer crossed with a blue/green egg layer or just a regular brown egg layer???

a regular brown egg layer crossed with a blue egg layer makes a regular green egg.

You need some super dark brown on top of the blue egg to make an olive egg.

If you are using an EE as one of the parents, remember that an EE might very well have only one blue egg gene, which means only 50% of her chicks will have a blue egg gene.

I like artichokes and they are perennial here AND they have purple flowers :D which fit right into my purple landscaping..and they grow as perennials here........pretty sure @hennible
should be perennial also might have to cover with straw for winter there but will regrow.......I want to get some jerusalim atrichokes sunchokes but I havent extactly figured out where I might want to let it be invasive at.....maybe the free range chicken run area

Nope not perennial here... Barely enough time to get anything off them in the greenhouse. Local nursery doesn't sell them either I gotta go 1 1/2 hours away to pick them up.

Well, he passed and is officially a legal driver...and he just left with the car.

Alone.

I'm very excited to see what color of eggs we get out of the potential pullets in the bunch of the chicks that hatched yesterday. It's a Sussex roo (cream egg) over the OE mutt, might make for some interesting greens.

Al, it's more of a malty taste. I would imagine it's sort of a fresher and salt free version of marmite or something. It's a bit beer like too.
