Dixie Chicks

I suppose... I don't know though, the bunny has a pretty high hart beat itself, and I'm guessing the kits have pretty faint heart beats.

How did you sleep last night?

furtive.... I only got a half hour nap today... but I am again up till the wee ours of the morning.... 2:30 here

Grandmas in a bit of pain after her procedure... I talked her into taking some tylenol. But she was up at one needing eye drops. Her Wet Macular degeneration is actually improving.... Yay.

Last time he used a little brush to sweep up the blood particles... must have done some good.

I hurt when she hurts..... Or anyone as a matter of fact...

time for bed now. I guess.

I live in Homer
9 months of winter
1 month of spring
2 months of fall
and no summer at all

I've probably asked this before, have you met the Kilchers? Actually I should be asking are YOU a Kilcher? They do seem to be a odd bunch on that show.
We still have snow, it's April, the snow landed in September and it still hasn't went away. We do get up into the 80s-90s from June through most of August. :)

Sam, you missed the chick video!

I think it's cool how this shared custody thing works. The chicks seem to be equally imprinted on both girls, earlier today they were very keen on staying under Wilma, but now in the afternoon, they were sleeping under Emma, and Wilma even went outside to take a dust bath on her own. Has anyone else tried hatching with several mommies?

Oh, and another interesting thing. We're down to just one layer at the moment, Töyhtis. The mommies let her come into the nest to lay her egg, and then they brood it there. No fighting occurs, what so ever. The roo is pretty calm about things too, but what I'm worried about is the four adolescent cockerels we've also got in there. They seem to be pretty mellow still, but I'm sure they'll start manning up soon. I wouldn't mind culling them, but there's hardly anything to eat on them yet. I'm just afraid that when the chicks start getting more active, their paths will cross with the teen cockerels's.

Seeds went in feb 20th, not sure on sprout date. They were in tiny coconut fibre pots until today. Transplanted into 5" pot this morning... Trying to grow them cool and slow.
