Dixie Chicks

Last year I grew them
They turned out weird... Didn't look a thing like they should have... They looked like mauve carrots.... Really weird... Lots got infected with tiny root eating bugs... I didn't eat them... So I'm trying again with new seed from a differnt company....

Jem, loads of herbs... then some eggplant and stuff like that, taters can probably be planted soon around there. Or grown in pots, if you want. carrots, other root fruit. Strawberries?

And also, I think we committed theft by accident today. Went to the hardware store and among other things, loaded two gutters into the car. But they were sort of inside each other, so I think the check out girl missed the other one... Oh well, saved some money there. I think it isn't that bad though, during the past two years we've probably spent around a grand or two there...

Oh, Karin took an ultrasound of Hilma today, and there are baby bunnies developing in there. As I'm typing this, I'm well aware of how insane we are.

She isn't very tame really... She doesn't like being held at all. She tries to kick herself free when you lift her. I tried picking her up at first, but it was a lot easier to put the transport cage inside the hutch and coax her in with a carrot. She's very social though. She likes to come say hi to the dogs through the net, and she's always very interested in any food we bring her.
