Dixie Chicks

I didn't realize their was a standard breed silkie, I guess there is in Europe. I read on one thread TSC gets theirs from Mt. Healthy and they are double the size of show silkies, looked them up on Mt H. and they say theirs run larger than average. I am going to cross my white ones to the white jersey giants I'm getting, I might not have to.

When do you know they have their adult feathers? Mines wing feathers look real, but shredded, the rest of them just stays fluff?

His lasted a week...  He had small respites where he could drive but he knew he had limited freedom.   He couldnt afford meds so he just suffered through.

I have heard Scopalomine nasal spray is supposed to curb it but you have to take it the first time you get the warnings...    I am sure there is something better now That was thirty years ago...

Yes, I remember someone working on giant silkies. I'm not sure I'd want a 10lb silkie!

There are LF Silkies in Europe, they've just only imported bantams into US...

why?  what is wrong with them?

sounds kind of freaky.

Kinda is... the whites are messed up... kinda like soft-set jello that has been stirred up... hard to describe... when you try to hard boil them, they come out mushy in strips... :/

looking good so far

My chickens finally ate that cabbage they were scared of I hung up weeks ago. Had to put it on the ground. A hawk would probably kill them just by them seeing one...
Mine only eat cabbage and lettuce on the ground rolled into the run. I can hang anything else though.

starting to look alot like a deck and ramp now
cool I would love a ramp on our deck

Little guys feeling great btw

Hi everyone!!! Happy late Easter! Ours was good, but busy. We always have a houseful come here, so it's a lot of work, but well worth it

I wish I could ship it your way @perchie.girl .

Has anyone ever incubated eggs that you washed 1st? I am so sick of waiting for the girls to lay clean eggs. They are not cooperating!

@RavynFallen , Hope they find out what's up soon. Migrains are terrible. I get them really bad sometimes. Dr said stress, high blood pressure, over exertion, over weight, who knows....? I hope you feel better soon though.

@tntchix brain is refusing to recognize that at all... what is reflexology?
Feels like I should know, but coming up empty right now...
I hear ya, I used to get sinus headaches that were so bad I couldn't see or think.

Reflexology is an alternative medicine involving application of pressure to the feet and hands
