Dixie Chicks

Those look really nice! The dalmations of the ducks. I wish we had a stream on our property, but we do have a "wet" area where water just pools. I am debating of putting the ducks there (once big enough) but on the other hand that's far from the chickens and the enclosed run.

I have yet to see an article on what ducks need for laying their eggs. ..

So far mine do not like anything I've provided for them to lay in, they make their own nests in the bedding on the floor and burry the eggs in it most of the time...

Well, this is interesting. Our idiot neighbors were out doing yard work, I once again said "Hi" when I went to the store, the wife just ignored me, as usual (the guy does respond usually though). Now they just dug up a couple of small spruces right next to the property line, they were very passive aggressive about it. I wonder if they'll leave a hole for us to admire, or if something interesting will be planted there. I wouldn't be surprised if they planted nettles or poison ivy all along the property line.

Sorry.. just remember whatever grows over the fence line you can let the chickens at.

our neighbours don't seem to care what we do nor do we care what they do. The other day I was out by the sheep, we have 4 Kathadin. The sheep started talking to me.

All of a sudden I hear a 5th "Baaah" from the road.. there was a neighbour walking by with his dog. I don't think he saw me as there are too many trees in the way. So I just started to laugh really hard and laud, that's when the 5th "Baaah" stopped.

A She Shed, I have a workshop does that count? I told my hubby I need a shed the size of a two seater outhouse.
His reply, what for?

@BriardChickensbest thing I've found is using a large rubbermaid tote and cut a hole in the side large enough for a duck. Most of my ducks will use those boxes. Just put pine shavings in mine. Now I've got a group of 6 who demand to pay their eggs in a corner dug down in the shavings. Oh well. One of then is trying to go broody on me too. 2nd broody duck this year already. The first one gave up when I kept taking eggs away.
