Dixie Chicks

Ah I thought it was a mix! Probably not a cockerel! Sorry! I'm an idiot sometimes
no worries lol what makes you think cockerel? most of my hatchlings are purebreed the bamachicks are mixed...I sure am excited to see them get bigger and feather out more think some are going to look awesome...one of the gold laced looks like it's getting in some great lacings

so I been wondering any theory on why the chicks are white @bamadude
 ?  I guess they must both carry a white gene just surprised none turned out buff colored

The hens that laid those were light/ dark/and buff brahma crosses. It was a sex link brahma project. The males hatched out light and females were buff columbian. They do have light brahma genes

ohh so they coulda been dark or whatever as well interesting...I knew was project for sex link.. I just had assumed they used some other chicken or something...

is it Isabel or Isabella???   And those are the ones where they are different shades of really light blue/lavender kinda, right?

There were some picture posts lately on the Facebook Leghorn page... pretty, pretty

So, HAVE THEY HATCHED YET?????

I have hatched a jillion times now.... and the suspense STILL kills me!  :barnie

(and it would be BAD if you started breeding rose comb Isabel Leghorns... then I would want to buy from you... bad me, bad you :lau )
I've got 4 of the Brown leghorns out. 1 left to go. Isabel are making me impatient. They're peeping but no pips. It's Isabel (or at least according to the creator of them it is). They are the brown pattern with the lavender gene. So they're tan and blueish.

@BriardChickens it's a baby bib... Lol
A Hockey one...

with my white leghorns... it turns out that their white is dominant.

COME ON AND HATCH (directed to everyone trying to hatch.. I think that is just me and @minihorse927 )

It just dawned on me, one reason why they are hatching so slowly could be because I had them without heat for a jillion hours... TWICE.

Makes me feel better....

I have some more pips... I have two "still alive but not ready to hatch" quail eggs... annoying
