How many chickens does it take to make a pillow ? (queen size)

None..... pillows are filled with Duck down or goose down.... Probably lots. Weigh a pillow and find out how much it weighs and think of how light down feathers are....

ok so you have fuff stage then feathered then adult? So the juvinile fledge stage would not necessarily be the color fot he adult bird when do chickens get their adult colored feathers in? when they go thru their juvenile molt?

around four pounds of feathers for a standard sized pillow. MY guess would be six pounds for a queen.

So the short answer is weigh an existing pillow and by enough feathers to match that weight. How many ducks or geese that takes is up to your processing skills.

Oh and if you are using your own those feathers have to be cleaned, sanitized, and sorted, Down wont migrate through the pillow case Feathers will and POKE you.... LOL.
