Agreed, cute chicks!

My 5 baby ducks need to move again. The little house they are in becomes messy way too fast. Planning on making a safe enclosure for them inside my chicken run. Then I need to block off the space under the house where my breeding pair of Cayugas like to hide (and hide their eggs where I can't reach) and they can take over the house again if they ever figure out the ramp.

A tarp and a riding mower may help moving dirt.

Well..... I guess I am overly hopeful??

But those 5 DOA chicks... I had them in the incubator for FIVE hours before I decided that they had to be dead. But they really were dead.... i looked them over with one of my boys (the one with good color sense) we are thinking one was a blue or lavender... And o e had a blue wash over it.... Child and I have decided that blues and lavender are genetically defective colors that hate us.... And will always die.

(Remember out of my blue and lavender Marans I HAVE ONE that is alive a month later. )

The chick with the bent toe died... NO idea why... Just dead this morning.

I am now looking at the rest with deep suspicion.... Maybe they will die by tomorrow.

Hi, I am catching up on reading as my hubby drives.
Sorry to hear your delivery was disappointing. I would think the pressure in cargo had a lot to do with it. Being thrown on the tarmac? Could have been a lot of things.
