Dixie Chicks

Those are super pretty colors!!

They look a bit like a millie Fleur crossed with a cuckoo...

I THINK some of my chicks ate going to me millie fleur, which is nice since the boys and I really like that color.

I hope you have lots if milli fleur.

Well, I've decided to sell my 2 black orpington roosters. To sweeten the deal, rooster 1 can go with the black Orpington hen, and roo #2 can go with my Wyandotte hen.

Too many other breeds, I'll just focus on the Partridge Chantecler for chickens... but will keep my 1 EE.

@ApiaryandAviary really YOUR millie fleur started out with chipmunk stripes as chicks?

I would gave thought that adult colors, would start out with consistent chuck colors, irregardless of breed...

Anyway, I was told by the breeder that my chipmunk chicks will be bb red or buff columbian.

I think the millie fleur chicks are the ones that are a bit ticked color wise, with a darker body and lighter head.

Not the Ohiki chicks. Most of them had chipmunk stripes and they became something completely different by the time they were 6 months than they looked like at chicks.

I never got any Buff Columbians. I got BBReds, Barred and the Gold and the Silvers were beautiful but when they hatched I had no way of knowing what was what. Some had stripes, some did not have stripes when born but later. They came through. Some had blotches or patches and a few were charcoal and later developed barring. The grizzled barring Fly Ties were big birds. As they got older, Glad they are now gone. They were not nice to me. They chased me. Spurred me through my jeans!

Hey, anyone who is willing, please check out this thread and give this poor guy some support... his entire flock of peafowl, geese and silkies is scheduled for destruction due to him getting shipped eggs from an NPIP source that tested positive for AI... even though his flock has tested negative, they are still insisting destruction of his flock... very, very sad...

I hope you have lots if milli fleur. Also maybe a platinum. I had a white Ohiki girl and sold her and should not have. Now I need her. Self kicking machine needed. I can not keep everything. I need to breed what I can sell. Some farmers only want what gets bigger and heavier than the hawk. Chances of survival around these parts not good for the wee ones inkess they are Front porch pets for the farmers wife. Someone like me!i do just as much farming as the farmer!
I know someone who has whites. She said she'll have quite a few to rehome to breeders this fall.
