Dixie Chicks

That's awesome mini! That's so cool!

Funny when I talked to the wife at SH and mentioned I got a phone call from Iowa Tue night, missed it, tried calling it back and it said 'this suscriber does not authorize incoming calls' she says hmm, if we sent them they should be there by now. (I paid xtra for express shipping) She said she didn't have the records for that were at their house. Huh!!
Said she'd check tonight and send a email. What?! Asked if the post office would have told me. Huh?! Well yeah, small town and I know the mail lady if we wern't home she would have stopped at our house on her way home and if we weren't there would have taken them with her until she could have gotten ahold of us Lol.
hmm, nothing against this place but I'm starting to wonder if they're not in over their heads with ahipping. They seem a little lost as to what's going on.

They are definitely over their heads between poultry and seeds, website says they work 18 hr days. Her husband does most the work I think, and full time teacher, . She is just available for live phone calls two days a week for two hours each.
I doubt they sent them, just ironic the phone call (I don't know anyone from Iowa and have never received a call from there) and then her comment when I said I called back and it said no incoming calls.
I'll have the wife check emails when I get home tonight. Who knows maybe they sent them and they're held up in NY customs, there is a ban on chicks and eggs, only ones coming from AI inspected places are allowed in, there's is and they said paperwork will be on the box. Maybe they will be here tomorrow, maybe it was a wrong # call.
Only thing I know for sure is I'll be sucking down some cold ones tonight and then everything will be hunky dory :) Lol!

blue laced reds are hard to start. They look good
I need more lacing. I am worried bc I think I may have to try adding a blue laced red wyandotte and give away any that show up with a peacomb. The comb and leg color are real important but so is the color variated lacing. I dont want to do it but I really need it. Maybe next month I will come across a blue laced red wyandotte. I am limited with my runs like never before.

I've seen blue laced gold orpingtons. Maybe you can get your hands on one of them?

If you find wyandottes please let me know!! I want more colors than my gold and silver. I was really hoping to get those from the person near you. But I guess it wasn't meant to be.

If you cross to a blrw, they'll all probably have to rosecomb as single comb is recessive. You'd have to breed back to a orpingtons over and over and you'd have a genetic mess on your hands.

I've got blue laced red. My rooster has a blind spot in one eye now. I don't breed them anymore. They're just here as layers. I might keep the rooster for them but I don't know. Sending a bunch off to the butcher next week again.

get all relaxed, wish I could.

Omg, the express live mail department called! They found them, they are alive! They asked me to email permission over to feed and water them until they have to leave. They're trying to get them on a commercial flight to their final destination so they don't have to wait on fedex!
