Most companies block streaming video and music.... because of bandwidth issues for one.... and because it means peeps arent working...
or thats the assumption.

I worked best when i had my Pandora channel up and running.

haha, I wouldn't mind speakers but don't often miss the youtube stuff. Actually the IT guy has tried to make it work as i needed it for online training but even he couldn't figure it out.

@Amberjem Thank you for posting the video! A word of warning for you folks. At the end he mentioned "looking glass" (also known as Isenglass). When I was on the farm years ago way before the internet) I stored my eggs for winter in looking glass. You used to be able to buy the powder from just about any pharmacy. You put the powder into water and then added the eggs *quick* because the stuff would begin to set into a thick gel from the bottom of the bucket to the top so the eggs went in in layers. Eggs kept in the buckets for months. Only problem sometime in the 90's ? they discovered the stuff was a carcinagen. Oops. Granny never taught me about slate lime. I just might try it this year while I am getting lots of eggs (Bama-those of us in the north don't get eggs for very many months each year) because who knows what the price of eggs is going to be in the fall/winter and I certainly don't want to be paying what good eggs will probably cost at my natural foods store come winter. They have already gotten outrageous because of the demand caused by the AI scare! I don't have a ton of room in my fridge for eggs so this should work for me.

I hate my new computer also Alaskan. I would like smash it with a hammer! I so loved our old one. My cheap Samsung piece of garbage phone works so much better. To top it off the stupid kids dumped milk AGAIN in the key board, didn't fry it this time, had it replaced once already for that under warranty. The thing I hate the most is when your moving your finger on the pad thingy for the curser stuff comes up on the right, lose the screen, where did it go? Wiggle around a bit there it is, and then gone, where's the hammer! And it is slow, how can my phone be faster than something I paid $$$ for!!!!

I also have issues with my new computer... :rant

I think Mahen is correct.... It is this horrid windos 8!!!! Nasty thing. Truly makes me want to smack it with a hammer. It is as easy to use as drivng a bus while eating spaghetti with only your right foot.

Good Morning, hot here.. recently we were complaining about it being too cold, now it's too hot. 17C would be perfect.
we've been suffering at 90°F and up for 2 weeks!

I am IN LOVE with this heat!!!! Walked about two miles today in 90 degree heat through scrub and sticker burrs and cactus and such... LOVELY LOVELY reunion. Round two of the reunion is tomorrow after church... It is a bit odd though... Since i never had truck with this side....... So the entire lot are kissing cousins that I never have seen.

Sell em. Run a craigslist ad for farm fresh eggs.

Well... I don't advertise... But yes, I sell them. Last week before I left town, I made the kids pack up eggs and go door to door until they were all sold.

Me and Windows 8 had a love-hate relationship. Still do sometimes. I've gone back and forth and opted to buy windows 8 all over again. Why? I like the tiles. I can close one site, go to tiles, click on another. It just became kind of nice. What bothers the carp out of me is the back button in the upper left corner is not always the back button. I could see me murdering someone over it. On one laptop, it was all searching for tabs along the top. On this pc it's a back button most of the time. But this pc never uploads things to where I want them and I have to hunt for scanned or camera entered stuff. It's driving me nuts.

The place I get my beer making supplies from sells isinglass for clearing unfiltered beer before bottling. I've never used it, I don't mind the sediment and now that I keg it I don't have sediment. I did do a double ferment and instead of isinglass I heard you could use unflavored gelatin for finings. The beer was a lighter amber and very clear with hardly any yeast sediment.
