Dixie Chicks

I had a swig or 2 hoping to watch the Dukes ofHazzard. But NOOOOO! TVLAND channel pulled the plug on the show because of a paint job. Im a bit aggrivated

For $&@!? shake...

I just recently watched a couple episodes. I loved that show when I was a kid, watching it now is like watching it for the first time.
Caught a episode where uncle Jesse raced boss hog, uncle Jesse used a '65 mustang, came pulling into the Boars Nest on two wheels. That show was awesome!!
Tv Land are idiot's, lets boycott them....

History is very important.
Ignorance of history?
History can repeat itself from ignorance.
We must prevent history from repeating itself by knowing our history. Ignorance is dangerous and reminders are needed. In the first place the flag was from separation not slavery. The war was from separation not slavery. How do we get others to understand this? Not by hiding it.

Exactly... flag is guilty by association... very narrow-minded views...
Hide our country's shame like a child, instead of accepting and admitting our mistakes like proper adults AND MOVE ON...

It also ticks me off.... That just because the US has done bad... We need to be ashamed and unhappy that we are the US. (If you read most textbooks)

I bought a US history book written before WW1. It was AWESOME!!!!

In this book the US was an awesome and powerful and wonderful country that was celebrated. They did mention some mistakes made by the US, but made it clear that people back then thought differently, it was a shame that it happened, let us not make that same mistake again, and now look at the good that we did do!

It was amazing, because I read a modern US text too, and the contrast was night and day. The modern one wasn't quite "we were so bad, no amount of money will ever fix the evil we did, maybe all white men should die" but it sure was close.
