Thanks, it's easy. Mine are small, I'll grow them out in pots for a few years as they will have to come inside when we start getting frost. But they can take up to -5C just fine.

Sweet! Might look into those... got 2 avocado babies from a friend, they're doing well so far... my green thumb is hit or miss though, lol...

The surprising thing I learned is that the species I have need to cross pollinate, so needed 2 different species in order to get "fruit". Also, you can't eat olives fresh. They are uber bitter unless you put them into some kind of brine.

Our nettle leaves are a bit rounder....

the flowers are teeny and purple....

But after looking at nettle leaf pictures .... they come in all sizes and shapes.... always with that serrated edge though.

They are good eating if you handle them properly... I used to have a horse that would dive in and stuff himself with them then come and give you a nettly kiss... little brat....LOL

Wow! I knew you could eat nettles but I didn't know they were a wonder herb! Asthma, allergies, good for kidneys. Been used for centuries as a hair tonic.

Awe!! She hatched them all out herself?

@Alaskan
there is enough for both of us to roll in... :lau

She went broody again right before my test batch was ready to hatch... super hot, so I gave her a few to hatch at day 19... the rest she took happily from the bator... I have awesome adopting broody's... :D

Do all nettles sting? Good thing I have a lavender plant, rub one of those leaves over stings and bites: and they are almost gone immediately on my skin. Normally that kind of stuff takes 2 days to go away. Love my lavender plant.

we cured eighty gallons of olives off one tree.... in lye.

Awesome! What breed is she?

Next chicken that goes broody will get to have a go at it. But on chicken eggs!! Mutts, but nothing I can do about that. I could always replace her eggs with all green eggs, breed myself some EE/Orpington. Hopefully the offspring also lay green eggs.
