Dixie Chicks

@minihorse927 , Hope your day gets better. Tell them they can buy it at Kroger, Walmarts, most anywhere for $1 a bottle. Then they can reimburse you for what they stole!

Getting ready for work. Go in later today. I went out to check on 2 pullets that were trampled....yes, 2 more. One is doing better, the other died. I think that coop may have cocci. Going to get meds today after work for them. Some out back at the big coop are coughing and wheezing. One I have isolated, treated three times. Now, she has it again. Time to cull her. It's not a wonder, we have had SO MUCH RAIN! Have used 4 bags of pine chips in the coop. Just to keep them from walking in water. Going to buy more today. Years past, never had to use chips.

Pics taken at dusk. We have to walk thru these puddles to get to coop which is on the left in these pics.

News said a local man has been diagnosed with West Nile Virus. They are advising locals to get rid of standing water to avoid mosquito breeding grounds......Yea, I'd love to! LOL!

Is there a way to put some pallets in the run just to get them up off the ground when they want to?

awesome, good work!! Keep it up!!

Think the wife is more 'nuts' than me. I didn't think she liked the chickens. When my broody EE hatched out two she took the three other eggs and put them under a light. I said just throw them out, they won't hatch. She said she hatched out a bunch of duck eggs when we moved that way...forgot... Four days later, healthy chick! Under a freaking light bulb wrapped in a little blanket!
That's crazy!! Mine have another week left, c'mon babies!

I hate people sometimes. I keep a bottle of ibuprofen in my filing cabinet at work. I do not use then all that often and it was a 500count bottle. Well after discovering less than a third of them left last week I have put them into my locker which stays locked 24/7. 2 of the girls are now madder than a hornet cause they don't have free access to the bottle. Uhm, those are mine. Stay the hell out...it'd be one thing if you asked but instead you snooped through my stuff and went "oh, ibuprofen, think I'll take a handful"

Rant over.
Not cool at all, maybe replace the actual meds with some sugar cubes in there... Can't think of the right word ... dextrose pills! There we go!

That sounds like theft, Minihorse. I personally would throw some chicken poo in the bottle and put it back. My hand lotion was getting lower and lower at work years ago. I actually watched people practically bathe in my lotion using it up to their shoulders. So I just got small size and kept it in my pocket, then took the bigger bottle on the counter and mixed a whole bunch of interesting stuff in it. Like baby formula, surgilube, milk, anything I had available that was not harmful. People would walk buy and take a few squirts and rub it all over. I saw one smell it and continue to put it on I laughed soooo hard. Other people who had their own private mugs in a cabinet in our kitchen used to put fake roaches in their cups.
I keep that stuff in my lunch bag now (I do no use or own a purse). No one goes in there. Mind you, the girls here are snotty enough that they think the brands I use aren't good enough for them...

@JWB, Ma broodie and chicks have weathered thunder storms and heat warnings, and if some sneak thief doesn't snatch them, I think they are going to make it free ranging. The barred chick appears to be a roo. Hopefully the blue Americauna will be a pullet. I'd hate to have two roos and just raise them to have to rehome them both.

After I got my Kaspersky virus protection updated, windows 10 seems to work well for me here. (Even with BYC! :D )
