Is Luna a lavender?

to be honest I am not sure I think blue but I have a hard time understanding the difference between the lavender and the blue? they look so similar to me? I mean the lavenders look like a pale blue to me

Oh...all this talk of cornbread in cast iron skillets and chili has me thinking about this weekend. and some comfort food.... Mmmm

-9 F this morning but will be at zero by noon and I can let the birds out on my lunch break. We got 3 inches of snow yesterday. It's much needed. Our town economy needs snowmobilers in the winter. Not quite enough to snowmobile out there though yet...unfortunately.

Neck is feeling good despite having a night of reading and not so great positioning. I got to figure that out....

Septic Tanks. I've got the line from our tank to the drain field covered with fall leaves and a tarp. We're always running a load of laundry or dishes so it seems we don't have too much trouble. But there was a year of low snow cover that created quite a nuisance for a lot of seasonal home owners around here. the frost ran deep that year.
My sister has an older home in town with city sewer. And the first couple springs they lived there with the run off and ice dams they had city sewer back up into their basement. I cannot imagine the mess. So they did some fix that cost a bunch of money. City was not responsible for any costs or damages. quite the deal.

It didn't freak me out. Dad -- despite his harsh and hazardous parenting skills -- was apparently quite connected to me, even after his passing. (See the ghost story in Old Folks Home.....Post 32476)

Although we were quite different, we were also quite alike. I had his number pretty much pegged (much like his mother, who I strongly resemble and as it turns out Dad resented), so much so that during the holidays at a family gathering when the talked turned to when he might pass I nailed the date... Grandma's birthday. It would be so like him to do that little "scr*w you" And, sadly, I was right.

I saw that post and didn't connect it to you.

morning brr cold, i think we are gonna have a bomb of wildlife in the spring with the warm long summer last year n the fairly mild winter we have had so far. comfort foods the best in winter!

I've gotta admit that I love me my Krusteaz pancake mix. It is so nice when you've got "starving" kids that want to eat now. And it doesn't taste like plastic like Bisquick does. Gosh that stuff is gross.

But we started making crepes here a couple years ago in the morning. They go pretty fast and the kids love them with whipped cream and wild berries (late summer) cinnamon and sugar...or yogurt instead of the cream. Wowsers.

I'm not good at fried chicken either. the breading comes off the skin and I cook and cook it in the grease and it's still raw in the middle.

Actually any breaded/fried meat ...I'm not good at. DH does the fish....he's good at it. I think subliminally I don't want to learn
