ya some of those places can sure hold you over a rock and hard place especially if you have limited companys available.. on the island we have like two local septic companys...and the back log is crazy...fortunately the drainfield was/is fine...and apparently we have soil that couldnt get more perfectThe tank I think is 10-12... it's a double walled tank that will separate solids from liquids. From there it gets pumped out into drain pipes where it leaks into the ground. If we had 10acres or more of land we could do a straight pump out of the second compartment of the holding tank. We'll have to pull permits to install the septic system and our contractor needs (is) licensed to sign off on it after. The companies that quoted 24-30,000 are just in for the money...
