@Amberjem we've been quoted as high as $30,000 for new 2 compartment tank and septic field. A guy I work with is licensed to do it and has quoted me $15000... it pays to shop around! It'll be part of our new mortgage...

how much are they charging you for the tank and what kind of tank is it?@Amberjem we've been quoted as high as $30,000 for new 2 compartment tank and septic field. A guy I work with is licensed to do it and has quoted me $15000... it pays to shop around! It'll be part of our new mortgage...
The tank I think is 10-12... it's a double walled tank that will separate solids from liquids. From there it gets pumped out into drain pipes where it leaks into the ground. If we had 10acres or more of land we could do a straight pump out of the second compartment of the holding tank. We'll have to pull permits to install the septic system and our contractor needs (is) licensed to sign off on it after. The companies that quoted 24-30,000 are just in for the money...how much are they charging you for the tank and what kind of tank is it?
and is your regulations or coding whatever you have there regulated for who installs or how the drainfield is done ect ect? least here thats often where the cost gets jacked up is the drainfields n such as aposed tot he tank
