@Amberjem we've been quoted as high as $30,000 for new 2 compartment tank and septic field. A guy I work with is licensed to do it and has quoted me $15000... it pays to shop around! It'll be part of our new mortgage...

  • 3/4 cup cornmeal(you can add a bit more cornmeal I like it a bit more on the cornmeal side then the flour side and you can also make it without flour)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar/ or honey
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 cup milk or buttermilk or heavy cream with dash of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3/4 flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • dash of cinnamon

Cook in cast Iron pan, oil pan with butter use about 2 teaspoons of butter per pancake.. let cook until bubbles start coming up flip cook other side.. serve with maple syrup or fresh fruit or preserves.. Num Num good.

The tank I think is 10-12... it's a double walled tank that will separate solids from liquids. From there it gets pumped out into drain pipes where it leaks into the ground. If we had 10acres or more of land we could do a straight pump out of the second compartment of the holding tank. We'll have to pull permits to install the septic system and our contractor needs (is) licensed to sign off on it after. The companies that quoted 24-30,000 are just in for the money...

I can be on my tablet with the tv on and my phone next to me and the next ad i see is either something based on convo or tv ad. It's freaky how much our electronics communicate with each other.

peep- wow a pulse like that just might have flipped me out.

not a fan of cornbread, way too grainy for me idk why

briard- glad you caught issues before the damage was done this time septic issues stink (no pun intended) when we added the master suite on the house they were going to make us move the entire septic system back 100 yds from house. I sweet talked my way out of it by telling them we were buying property next door soon and would be moving it way further than that anyway (at the time it really was the plan) we never did. LOL

All the animals except chickens are in the house sleeping like hibernating bears right now. All I hear is snoring. LOL
