Dixie Chicks

Looks nice, minihorse... :)
40 here and supposed to get colder before morning...
Thanks about the egg, everyone... so stoked to see what her babies come out like...
Crash may not be far behind her either... she's now running around like she lost her mind, lol...

That's a nice green color. Out of the three pullets we hatched out around Easter, so far only one has started laying about a month and a half ago. The two others are still just freeloading.

We've had super weather all Fall here, it's been a bit cold, but mostly sunny, and it's been the driest Fall in 20 years. Might change now though, they've promised rain for the end of the week.

We had 24F last night, silkies finally going in coop at night lol. Snowed a little yesterday, stuck where it was shaded, yuck. Don't think I'll get to move the new run, they ain't working fast enough.

Darn, that reminds me, I still need to put up the plastic covers on the run and bunny pen sometime before snow starts. Problem is, I don't want to do it too early either. And now I remembered I need to change tyres at some point too. Blah. Stupid winter. Also, the whole yard is covered in maple leaves =/ And the gutters need to be cleaned. Darn it, now I'm just building myself a honey do list.

Congrats on Lady Grey laying Ravyn! My newest Cayuga lays eggs that size too. She's laid 4 eggs so far.

Weather forecast says we are done with warm nights... :( that means snow is imminent.

I still have to do one more shuffle of poultry. Babies need to go into the main laying flock, drakes need to be moved over the big duck flock and Trio in the tractor needs to move into the main coop into their own little space so roosters don't fight. They need more winter protection then they get in the tractor.

Help, I have a very poorly little chic, can anyone advise me on what to do to help her?
