Lol!
Username was for beer can chicken, avatar was going to be a chicken stuffed with a beer can on the grill....but then I read some of the other threads, some of these crazy chicken people act like chickens are their children. So I didn't go with it.

oh man.......beer butt chicken is great........my only problem is leaving enough beer in the can to help keep the interior of the chicken moist......lol

Hey,
Hennible, we are below freezing every night now but still manage just a few positive degrees sometimes during the day.
Got 3 inches of snow about 1 1/2 weeks ago that seems to linger in some areas. Other then that, nada!
Duck pond is only staying thawed where the heater goes in. They are predicting a very mild winter here, very little snow, and not so much of the -30.

I do keep hearing of how terrible the mountain roads are, I have to drive through there with a stock trailer in 102 days....

Yeah below freezing nightly now, looks as though daily as well. 3" of ice on the pond. Just drive carefully, in the daylight as much as you can. Will you be taking the McBride Hwy? Or cutting south through the ice feilds? and then the cocahalla? (Lol at my spelling) after that through the cities? The canyon? Or maybe the Pembertan hwy? I don't envey your trip no matter wich way you go!

We usually go through Edson, Hinton, Jasper, Valemount, Clearwater, Kamloops, Merrit, Vancouver. Apparently they are predicting a lot of snow in the mountains this year. It's the most direct way for us.
Not looking forward to the Coquithalla (is that how they spell it?)
We want to make it Valemount on day 1 (hopefully nights won't be too cold since the animals will all be in a stock trailer).
Day 2: Vancouver or Nanaimo depending on where we can find a parking spot with a trailer full of noisy animals
Day 3 (March 1st) Gabriola Island so just a 20 minute ferry ride from Nanaimo.

Was 86 today, and will be 90 tomorrow, then we get a cold front, so it will drop to 75 by Sunday. Tonight's low will be 70, but the low will be 54 by Sunday. Not to worry, after Sunday the cold front will be gone, and it will warm up again. Getting out the heavy coats, and blankets in preparation for all that cold weather.
