Hey local

My incubator is sitting at 98 exactly.
Do you guys think I should turn it up a wee bit?
Hey Beautiful! you didnt tell me you were gonna set! I run at 100.5 calibrated spot on temps, rotating eggs n the bator often.
this chart shows ultimate incubation temps from studies.

In the Hatching Eggs 101 article I threw together some info for lowering temps at hatch as well

Researchers have found that lowering temperatures will prolong incubation,
HOWEVER it is favorable to do so at the end of incubation.

Day 19 & 20 Temp Min 98.0 Max 98.5
Day 21 Temp Min 97 Max 98.0

I don't have huge hopes for this hatch, I threw everything I was given in the bator though... I've got odd shaped eggs, eggs from old girls, eggs from newish layers... Fertility was consistent on the four I broke (brittle shells) At least 8 I had to wash due to a broken egg mess . If 50% hatch it will be a big success. Anyway they were free, from flocks within walking distance of my place... All mutts. I'll do all I can to give them the best chance. Can't wait to candle these.
