Dixie Chicks

I know right I am soo jazzed about it :D kinda......... LOL I mean I have had such good luck with my diy one and I keep hearing all these horror stories with the  store bought ones..but figured for that price couldnt loose :)

Test run it and see how it goes... put some rocks in it to simulate eggs...

If nothing else, leave it as a still air and just use it as a hatcher... for 10 bucks it's definitely worth a shot... :D

Hmmmmm. My hens are trained to lay eggs. My roosters are trained to mate with the hens. They are all trained to follow me around for treats, and fuss at me loudly if I forget to give them their treats.

No chickens at this point .....looking for some Welsummer hatching eggs ......but my sweet grass turkeys are rather funny / strange ? Have had some for three years now and so we talk , they have free roam so when I don't see them I "chirp" to them and they come running ( toms start strutting when I call them ), they follow me around ....which at times gets scary . three toms who always want to get a bit to close , but normally I give them the ends from the bread loafs , call them to the back door and feed them .......? chickens never really came to any calls , turkeys seem to respond way better

@Cold Canadian Guineas I used to have were like that. The wife hated the cock, always scared the crap out of her. He would run full bore at you like he was going to attack, and then strut just at your feet, on your feet, around your legs, like a annoying purring cat. Lol!

If I feed mackerel to the girls as a snackie, Pat will lay an egg the next day. (She's my worst layer, but lays the prettiest dark olive eggs and she's got the best personality)

Sometimes we cater to a hen's particular favorite foods tastes...

TeJae = ricotta cheese
Oops = blueberries
EB and ET = fresh corn on the cob
Pat = mackerel
Zelda = bread
Annie = meal worms
Leza = chopped kale salad

Oh, yeah, they're spoiled. They don't have to do much but lay to help pay for their upkeep.... They'll never pay off their house, but at least they can contribute to rent.
