Dixie Chicks

I just realized I need to get some peas in the ground, only thing we can plant here right now. I haven't ordered any...I'll have to stop by farm stand/greenhouse couple town's from us. They open tomorrow and have seeds in bulk. Only problem is I know they will probably have baby chicks ducks turks possibly guineas...I need to avoid going in that barn...I know the kids will want to see them though....must resist the chicken math...

Habeñero pickled eggs turned out not hot. Eggs must suck up and destroy capsaicin? Maybe I should try bhut jolokia ghost peppers or scorpion peppers?
Just made a couple more qrts, jalapeño and onion, and some for the girls with some beet juice for color.

Can't wait to try them.

Pickled the habeñero one's 2/11, just ate last one a couple days ago. Went two weeks to a month. Last few I ate the pieces of peppers with them, not hot. I just touched my tongue to a piece when I made them, BURNED!

If you have an Asian market nearby, pick up the chili flakes used to make kimchi. That stuff is super spicy and almost dissolves in liquid.

Dried peppers probably lend more heat anyway,I'll check it out.

Lure that wild hog into a pen, worm, and grain feed it.  Tender, and delicious!

Lol, just heard that from the guy that takes over my shift at work...trap it and feed it..
