Dixie Chicks

Oh... The death toll would have been beyond horrid... Except my stuffed incubator started hatching friday... Whenever the "wanting to die" chicks got to be too much, the kids and I would look at the nice healthy hatching babies.

Oh, I ordered, all bantams, 5 blue quail d'anvers - all dead
10 blue Wyandottes, 3 blue left (and look very healthy) 1 black left (looks iffy)
10 Rhode Island Red and only 2 are left, one looks good, one iffy.

Already hatched and super healthy (do have a few stragglers)
15 d'uccle x bantam wheaten ameraucana
9 Dominiques
4 Spitz, 2 are black and 2 will be white with lots of black spots
7 Black Ameraucanas
4 d'anver
4 bantam Wheaten Ameraucana

I think I would be snapping pictures, and trying to get a refund, or new shipment. That's so sad!

So sorry Alaskan:(. All the chicks I got from Meyer hatchery are doing great. I got them 1st week in March. I pulled 3 of them last week and gave them sav-a-chick because they seemed a little under the weather. They seem much better now and are with the rest. 27 of them. But they were from hatchery 4-5hours away.

I have some coming from California hopefully this week from Papas poultry. I am thankful I ordered speckled Sussex from both, because he said he had dog attack his rooster and now has to substitute or refund. Main reason I ordered from him was to get CCL and sussex. I'll let you all know how it goes. Has anyone ever shipped one single chick? At what age, if any would they be ok to ship single?

My rabbit is still having her false pregnancy. I think she needs therapy.

Have a good day! Got to go to work.

That Flint thing is just a huge mess, hope they get it cleared up soon. It's also a good example on why the cheapest offer isn't always the best.
Hi, I have been extremely busy and trying to get caught up. This is a prime example of what happens when the gov is in control of water. I firmly believe our Federal Government is trying to take control of all water in America.

@Cold Canadian Yeah, that clearly wasn't your fault, although in that case you weren't following the other car, so I say my statement still holds true. Although personally, I tend to slow down a bit if the other lane is slowing down. I get super nervous driving next to another lane when the speed difference gets beyond 20-30 kph.

Al, sorry to hear about your troubles. Hope you don't lose any more of the chicks.

@ApiaryandAviary Whoa, that was from long ago. You must really be far behind =P

tiles up hardware is on the medicine cabinet just to hang it now
Nice and classy remodel, Amberjem.

Really enjoying the photos you all are posting.... interesting to see the seasons unfolding.

Today my first day lily

Happens to be in a raised tub with a grape vine and loads of weeds -- all work waiting to be done.... Day lily -- here today and gone tomorrow -- can't believe that the flowers only last 1 day.
Here's a 'bengal clock vine' -- called clock vine because it winds up the support clockwise:
