Dixie Chicks

Last night was the 3rd night I've slept with one eye open. 2 years ago the raccoons put a major dent in my flock. I got one raccoon last night. I'll be back out there tonight. Darn things just keep coming back. Thankfully they have not got any from my flock this time.......but they are trying, and I'm trying to avoid that.

Shot two vegan predators yesterday. Snipered one woodchuck in the corner of our garden from our porch with .22, later got it's mate on the tree line with pellet rifle.
Anyone have any good recipes for ground hogs?

Probably best in crockpot. Otherwise meat would be tough.

I've got 2 raccoons so far. The war is not over. They were out there again last night. Tracks everywhere. I've still been super blessed that my flock has not got attacked. Tonight feels like it's going to be a good night to sit up and listen for them.

Whats another name for a woodchuck?

Beer, what on earth is a vegan predator?

Dang whistlepig/groundhog/woodchuck.
Been preying on vegis in my garden.
I don't allow woodchuck or rabbits near my garden. Deer have left it alone until this winter when they mowed down a big kale patch.

Our biggest problem at the moment is a feral rabbit that keeps courting our does. Our bunnies have caught ear mites from it, and so far my efforts to trap it have been unsuccessful.

We had a fun weekend, we re.potted the rest of our tomatoes. And we also organized a bit in the greenhouse, it's starting to look really good in there.

We also did a bit of spring cleaning, emptied out the run and cleaned the bunny pen properly. This resulted in me having our compost filled to the brim. Since Saturday, it has heated up a bit. My thermometer is in the corner, as far from the center as possible and it's maxed out at 55C/120F. The amount of steam coming out from there is suggesting that I would probably burn my hand if I would put it in there. I'm guessing we're at around 170F in the core, if not more.

By the way, what kind of supports would you guys suggest for eggplants? I've got two hybrid varieties, Moneymaker F1 and Ophelia F1. The Ophelia probably won't need any support as it should grow small fruit, but the Moneymaker should make large ones, and I have no idea how big the plants will grow.
