I still shear my woolled sheep...3 done, one left to go...when it decides to stop raining when I have the time to do so...

She is so use to me shearing she jest lays there and waits on me...
Cause I'm old, slow and careful like...

Did I mention on here that I got hair sheeps? Gonna have eight ewes (two are Katahdin/Dorper, rest are pure Dorpers)

The NEW Hair Sheeps are getting use to the place here...and all the critters here are getting use to them. Sorta a give and take thingy.

Yesterday after a whirlwind of activities (weeded and watered the beans, hacked out some wind brought thistle, doing things that slip by like clipping dog toenails...does it ever cease?)...decided to till under some noxious weeds...I planted oats on the other side and they're up...potatoes are up too...herb bed is doing tres fab...yeh...strawberries I planted are getting ready to fruit up.

Got sixty tomats in the Greenhouse potted up and another forty or so to go...



When the clouds go black, good time to transplant...

I know your more north than me, but so glad I'm not the only one putting stuff out I consider 'late', been so busy, have a lot in the garden early, but dang, some stuff I'm just putting out now...

Sometimes news is so shocking and sad. 26 people dead in West Virginia. All as a result of flooding.

It's SO WONDERFUL to have weekends off! Been working since I was 15 years old (30 years ago!) and have never had a job that I was off every weekend! My new job is wonderful. The employees are responsible for doing their jobs and putting in 40 hours. No clocking in & out, no schedules, it's really nice. If I want to work 10 hours Monday and 6 hours Tuesday, I CAN!!!! And I am never late! I am learning a lot and really enjoying this pivotal move in my life.:D
