the barn is rough. It is scabbed together to be safe. I'm hoping this spring to get the new barn up. It is never ending here I swear.Looks cozy!
Wish I had a barn...

I stay super busy and get very little sleepGirl, I thought I had tons to do, but I don't know how you do it!

Congratulations on the win.Heel low: Jest a quick, good news POP IN report. My red ACD is mopping up on my blue ACD. We clean them up and then show the farm dogs twice a year and tis a show weekend! My son and the red Lacy are beating their mother (moi) and the blue Emmy. Lace-a-Lot, in two days now has two majors (Best of Breed on Friday and Best Opposite on Saturday) for four points and there is one more show today. On the Friday, Lacy beat the Specials Male that is currently ranked as the top third Australian Cattle Dog in conformation for Canada...nice for son and the red girl.
In total, Lacy has six points, three majors, and needs four more points for full CKC Conformation Championship...sheesh. Now given, in April, Emmest the blue, she took Best in Breed on the Friday for a major and two points which for me after like an eight year absence from the dog showing ring was huge (what a come back surprise for an old geezer like moi)...but then Lacy took Best Opposite on that Saturday for her one major and two points. The two girls were neck and neck in points and majors as of April but now in November...clearly the red girl is cleaning up on me and the blue one....sigh! Losing to the son...what's a mother to do but...butt cheer!

Lacy waiting in the ring for her Best of Breed RibbonsNovember 4, 2016Lookin' like she's lovin' the ring a ding, eh.
Don't she look like she is having some FUN???We also got to do the first of many annuals; CERF eye exams on the gals...both qualified for their CERF numbers...so woot thar too...not just pretty on the outside, pretty good on the insides too and we'll keep doing the genetic tests to ensure they are as good as they look on the outsides too. Well, time change up here in Alberta...so got given an extra hour that should mean I can get caught up on chores before we rush off to the dog show this afternoon. Hee hee...way weeze go...Doggone & Chicken UP! Tara Lee Higgins Higgins Rat Ranch Conservation Farm, Alberta, Canada
