Dixie Chicks

Hope you get it under control chicks are life.

Here's my update
Ethel is not laying and appears to be in distress I will be dispatching her this weekend
Pretty sure it's ascetic

V the duck died rather suddenly. Her soft shell issue cleared up completely and she seemed in good health, was back with her flock being a duck. I think there was another underlying injury, possibly, well likely, caused by my dog who I am ever grateful for because he protects the birds... but occasionally he's way too rough/fast while herding the ducks.
She was struggling to breath and I assume had an internal injury. Passed very quickly after being put back in isolation.

Now for the good news, my last remaining Muscovy hen Magpie (I lost most of the others to the fox late last fall and two to exposure over winter, I will never know why they didn't go back in the coop and stayed in the pen to die ), hatched out 6 babies and now I have another 6 inside. They were under a chicken,

but somehow she snuck in a few chicken eggs I wasn't expecting and I had to finish them in the incubator after her chicks hatched.

The little dude in the back flapping his wings is Wobble, the first one out, they are hilariouse! Jumping and playing already. I've never hatched Muscovy successfully so I'm pretty stoked with these cuties. Babies 5 and 6 are still drying in the bator.

Congrats. Must be thrilled

K thanks cause I am infested with mites in my coop and on my birds.

I bathed my girl in Epsom salt water, then sprayed her with the permethrin. Twice. Had her isolated, cleaned out her regular coop and sprayed it all down. She looked really good this evening but i think I'll do one more treatment tomorrow.
