I think we'll be looking at the dyson too.. I just hope it can handle my dogs hair.. it's up to 12" long, so when that clumps together under the couch..... some more research required! My friend has had really good experience when she needed a warranty replacement part for hers.

I walk away to do some work for 20 minutes (supervisor is teaching me how to build high pressure hydraulic hoses) and I come back to 2 pages missed!

Dyson looks promising.... And I can order a refurbished one on amazon..... I like the no bag bin and the way it dumps in the trash.... excellent. I like the carbon fibers for anti static.... Static electricity is a big issue here.... especially when vacuuming. I have had my vacuum cleaner here be covered in almost as much dust on the outside as on the inside....

An exaggeration for sure but they do get covered in dust. Those anti static sprays for clothing are good for that by the way.

I had a hoover excellent machine till the Tweakers got a hold of it and tried to vacuum the Green house floor. twisted the hose off almost .... and it was brand new too. urrrg.... New rule in my house.... NO more tweaker hired hands.... unless you give them the tools you want them to use and lock away anything you dont. I had a perfectly good shop vac for stuff like that but Noooooo they used my bran new vacuum....

Sorry I digressed....

still will use a swiffer for daily stuff

OK NOW I need to know what kind of work you do? Sounds very interesting.

BC I've got two dogs 8 cats a ferret two kid ( way dirtier than my pet ) plus chickens in the house regularly... We have a dyson ball, it kicks but, even sucks up that really fine dust leaves the floors almost as clean as mopping... Only complaints are the cord is a bit short and the attachment tube thing is a little bit rigid... I think it could handle you big fuzz ball... Paid $400-500 for it...

But, I have a house full of shedders and crumb makers...

LOL.... that would be me as well.... Dogs, horse, chickens goats..... Yep the goats got in my bedroom once... Not pretty still and that was eight years ago... took me four years to get the nerve to look in there .... Its going to take a big shop vac to fix the mess.

Then rent a steamer to clean the floor. Thank goodness its Tile Linoleum... VERy scrubbable. I may take the door sill off to the green house room and squeegie the floor off onto the concrete in there.... I can hose the floor in the green house room to a floor drain.

Deb I work in the parts department for a heavy duty shop. Company owns 300+ pieces of equipment and works in the oil industry. The shop works on it's own equipment as well as customers. The days where I just get to climb up on the big machines are fun for little girl like myself!

I should take a picture of our tumble weeds, aka fur balls some day, or maybe I should not. The dog doesn't have fur, but hair.
