Neighbor has a Leonberg, she's starting to get pretty big. She's pretty chilled out though, nice dog. They could work on obedience a bit though...

That's something I like about large breeds, usually they are mellow. This girl seems mellow...

ok I finished my bagel I guess I cant aviod going out to help the guys even if it's cheerleading from the sidelines..plus I need to give loki a run, he's driving me bonkers trying to help me... morning is his usual free time romp in the backyard with Able...but he is restricted to the lead in the front right now cuz of his jumping into the free range area to chicken visit.... he's so hyped up right now I think he even went into my laundry basket to bring me laundry just so he had something to do..instead of gathering it up around the house...(which was already picked up)

not necessarily more mellow but ppl often take more time to train them because BIG means bigger harder time handling them if they arent better trained and more mannerly..

Yup, a chihuahua can always be picked up, harder to do with a St. Bernard...

Jem, you should also make Loki work a bit extra on days that he can't get as much exercise, maybe spread out the laundry again and have him pick it up, and other tasks that he's trained to do. Mental work can be just as tiresome as physical activities.
