Jem, you must have missed it when I said it earlier, but the movie was "Thank you for sharing". It was pretty good, but not for everyone.

We've been having trouble finding a source for small straw bales, there haven't been any available within 100km, only the big round ones. But finally Karin found some source, and it's only 3km from us, I'm going to go pick a couple of bales up soon so that the birds get something to dig through in the run. Karin hasn't liked the dried leaves we tried.

Love TN very much, but only been here a year and a half, lol. Don't really know anybody as we live in the country and I am not one who is very outgoing, until I get to know ya.
Umm... Lots of different breeds... Started with a couple EE's and a few PR's for eggs, but now have...
Ameraucanas (BBS and Lav)
Araucanas (bantam and LF)
CCL's
BCM's (black and blue)
OEGB's
Sulmtalers
And a couple Barnevelders and Bresse. Chicken math, lol. And a very enabling fiance. He bought me a redwood cabinet incubator for Christmas!

This is about the extent of my colors so far. I am going to get white egg layers & I want blue eggs too. My 3rd generation OE (dark green egg on right) decided not to lay yesterday & was acting like a broodzilla! She has plucked out her bottom feathers and everything. I don't have time for that! LOL! I put her in a sectioned off area where I have my SS roo (Sue) and a RIR to keep him company. She has no nest box in there, so maybe it will break her cycle quick. I don't mind in the spring time, but I have no space or time to mess with babies right now.

Looks better than my basket right now, lol! Most of mine are still too young yet, but have 5 shades of 'cherry eggs' from my PR's, green from my EE, chocolate from my older BCM (hers are strange tho) and little blues from my Araucana bantams. I don't have any white egg layers, but should have cream soon from my Sulmtalers. Don't have pics cuz of new phone, and just gave away all our eggs to family, except the ones in the bator!

Ones on left are PR/EE and on right are Araucana bantams.

ETA: And have lots of babies right now! Want some? lol

JWB, well, that's a lot more colored than ours, especially at the moment when only two are laying. Just getting dark brown and tan eggs. I'd like something blue too, and then I'd like to have some more Marans (I've given up hope that any of these chicks are girls) and an Isbar. Creme Legbars might be nice, but no way of getting them here. If we do get a decent Marans roo out of these chicks, I think he'll replace Eemeli and then I might try to make some interesting OE mixes with Töyhtis.

@vehve haha could have might have thought it as over some post or something what makes it not for everyone? subject matter, plot?
think was last year hay straw ect was high because of drought or something forgot offhand now.
