Dixie Chicks

So cute!

And yes, they are looking very Rooish with those combs, especially the 2 dark ones. Well, at least if you think Roo on all and end up having a pullet or 2 it will be a happy surprise!

They are all super nice on the middle TN thread! I have met a few and swapped some birds around. They just aren't very chatty lol.

I'll have to post there soon then, thanx!

Ravyn, sounds pretty much like our weather. Well, at least we did get pretty weather for Christmas.

Yeah, Christmas was fair, but I was sick, lol.

Yeah, I'm sure we had one pullet in the bunch, but she ended up having suicidal tendencies.

Aww! I have one that's just bats*** crazy, lol. My luck is heavily weighted on the Roo side too. I think that 50/50 on genders is a myth, lol. I have way too many cockerels and haven't figured out yet what I'm gonna do with them.

We have plenty of room in our freezer, lol, just gotta get them big enough. Told my fiance that we need a grow out pen for all the extra boys or we'll have to get rid of them. I think he's on board about the pen, we'll need it soon anyway for our meat birds.

I'm a bit worried. Karin mentioned something about keeping bunnies for meat, and I didn't immediately shoot down the idea. I'm afraid she's already planning a bunny hutch for our miniscule yard. They are tasty though.

Ok I am not going to read through the last 9 pages.. don't people sleep at night anymore?

Vehve, I agree with your fiancé, it's fair game for rabbits now. Even if you had shot it down right away there are other ways to confine a husband of things!

Mine loves back rubs and they come in so handy when I want more animals!

Hehe, chicken math turning into bunny math! Those multiply quicker too. But yes, very tasty. Good luck with that, lol. We have plenty of space, Jim just hates helping me put up fence. Building coops, ok. Fence, nope. lol

BC, well I don't think it's a bad idea either. I did tell her that we have to run it by the neighbors though. I don't think they would have anything against it, but so that they're aware of the fact that the cute little bunnies are going to be dinner right from the start. Their son is a bit of a softy.
