I hear ya. At least in Michigan, there is pretty snowfall most of the time. In TX, everything was brown and gray, made my SAD so much worse. I think Jan and Feb we all just get cabin fever and the walls start closing in. I started hanging artwork on the walls the other day, desperate for a different scene. LOL

Bales are $3 from farmer, no option at stores. Young kids these days -

No way here, it would be like walking on brick.

Oh I can't wait to get some CCL's.

How I wish I could nap during the day.....*sigh*......
how have you been doing?

Jem, hope everything went well at the hospital.

Sam, my run has about a square foot per bird. The coop has four 10cm/4" round vents, two down low for air intake, two at the highest point to let air out. And the pop door stays open pretty much all the time, it's about a square foot.

Well, the nap didn't work for me either.....I went out to check for eggs & let the girls out to free range and

WE GOT 38 EGGS TODAY!!!!!
That's a record for us!

We have 40 hens. They must've had some sort of meeting or heard me talking about butcher day (for the roos). But after getting all excited about the eggs, I couldn't find our little dog! So, I walked (quickly) down the street both ways yelling my head off for him. No doggie

. After about 1/2 hour of walking back and forth and screaming my head off, I went back to the coop. Poor doggie was standing right by the coop with mud caked 1/2 way up his legs. He had went into the coop looking for me & it's impossible to hear anything back there over all the chickens. But I am SO glad he is OK
