I'm not a eay shape to dress, and I hate wearing suits that don't fit, so renting is probably off the table.

obviously, I am failing at getting myself to move.... the fire has been running all day, so the living room is TOASTY NICE!!!!


However..... get ready to run about screaming....... I only had one cord of seasoned wood this year......


we are about out........ yeppers, only a few more days left.

Thats interesting I have a friend who lives in Michigan and she says she goes through 22 cords through winter...

I am bringing a Truckload of wood up to my house on Friday. Green just cut from a mulberry tree. Story lost in Moderationland. But from that truck load I probably have a quarter cord if my measurement estimates are correct. I am going to cut the big branches into kindling sized chunks and bundle the skinny one inch branches into the corect lenght for my Wittle pot belly. then bundle those into log sized bundles with cotton or hemp... So when its time to burn it i can plop the whole thing into the stove.

any thoughts on Mulberry for firewood?

No idea how mulberry burns, probably fine for firewood. Now I shall get up and have some brekkie

No hard stuff for me. I like a Laphroaig every once in a while, but I prefer wine or beer.

well so I started sprouting boss seed yesterday just refreshed the water it's starting to sprout, I was wondering so it's three four days of sprouting then feed to the chickens? I seem to recall there is a certain time period where the sprouts have the best nutrients and are good to give to the chickens anyone know offhand and want to share?

I think I remember reading that as long as they haven't started turning green they're at the most nutritious stage, but I'm not sure about that. I'm thinking of starting to sprout too, I have a great setup planned in by head but I would need to find some cheap baskets to do it with. I'd like to get five baskets on top of each other and get a continuous system going. Everyone who sprouts, do you let them turn green with some light towards the end, or do you keep them at the white stage?

Mom and I made amends. The pictures are gone but I will make more.... @NotAFarm was gracious to give me a picture to use for my avatar temporarily. I have a bunch of hand drawn stuff to use.... I just have to find it.

. Truly hoping it all works out for you. I miss your pics. I was shocked and confused when I seen your avatar gone yesterday. I thought someone had hacked your computer. I was freaking out man.

Anybody heard from @sourland lately? Or did I just skip over so many posts that I missed? Hoping the new year is treating the family well sourland.
