DH is more picky so we stick to onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, peapods (no shelling peas), summer and winter squash, some sweet and/or hot peppers and lettuces/greens. I am ordering sweet potato slips from Sandhill Preservation this year to see if we will have success with them.
We have rhubarb, apple, cherry and peach trees, concord grape vines, hazelnut and blueberry bushes and the Jerusalem artichokes for perennial edibles.

nice! I really want to do sweet taters..... I have some sprouting for me along with some red taters........I just have to troubleshoot how I want to do it exactly.. I have been thinking about going a growbox I can remove the front frame out of to harvest the taters n such....and I am absolutely determined to get a decent tomato here lol.........least I actually have a good area to grow now.......and not buried in tree's or whatever............between the tree's and the overcast and cooler temps here it''s drove me crazy things I Really like to grow tomatoes summer veggies have a very short window here...I've been doing alot of investigating of English type gardens as the weather is similar

DH on the other hand??? not so much it's Rush vs. Metallica in this house. LOL He is gonna have a meltdown when he finds out, but then again, he's not here all the time.
When no one is home I make the windows shake. Lucky me, neighbors are far enough away, no one calls the cops on me. Like I'd care.

when I have "time outs" I go in my room and lock the door and crank it up until I feel it vibrate my spine...usually ac/dc, or led zeppelin or Metallica or whatever happens to inspire the emotional release I am needing for the moment...
