Dixie Chicks

I agree that Hendrix was above the music, as much as I love Zepplin and believe Page and Bonham are sensational musicians, I would not class them next to Jimi as far as creativity and originality. Led Zepplin were the pinnacle of their form where as Hendrix was in a class all his own at the time. With that said there are still amazing new acts out there you just have to search for them as popular music tends to clog the airwaves.

? U forgot thee voice of Led which without Plant it would have never gone as far as it went , Page knew the moment Plant tried out that he was the one , most groups never even get close to that . Jimi was ahead yes , that's what set him apart as he showed his unique style .Trust me I search a lot , music has been my right arm in life and I've heard every type , good and a lot of bad , but that's dependent on your tastes as is everything . If anyone could come up with the lyrics and music as they did then , well success would be fully deserved . But as I said .........to each there own :)

Leadbelly!

I wish I had a better recording to share with you.

I love Leadbelly!

As for good fiddle music, here is a song with a little of it... three nights drunk!
My Greatgrandfather and my Grandfather used to sing and play that song! They played with Grant Rogers, the "Song Maker Of The Catskills"
My Grandfather played the guitar when Grant was fiddling on his record. There was many more youtube vids a few yrs ago, but I cant find them now! Bummer! I do have his record though. It sucks, he had many good songs, and I can't find them on youtube!, His version of Three nights drunk was much better than that one!
