Also, many things I've read about sprouting have included the words "they're starting to get ready, but I like giving them an extra day or two to grow", so it's probably fine. At some point you start to lose the benefit though, as the plant starts using it's energy to grow instead of adding nutrients to itself.
 
BC, I've only done barley in recent times, that takes about 5-6 days to get green too so we'll see. The peas should be a day or two less. I might switch it up so that I add the peas later next time, but if this seems to work nicely combined, I'm happy about being able to skip steps. I want the laziest way possible for this.

BC, that's actually a super easy build, you need a toilet float valve and a hose. Don't know how it would work in winter though.

Winter is the tougher one... I have one of those heated waterers. I ALWAYS end up spilling a bunch down my legs during the carry to the coop. The waterer is a silly design.

you think it looks like a pullet laid egg? I really think it was dotty and not violet but I dunno I sure hope so that be nice ...wheat and Boss are supose to have a similar sprout rate
