It's now been about 6 hours since I first sprayed them. I'm going to post a pic each day. It will be interesting to see how quickly they begin to sprout without the soaking, I remember reading somewhere that compared to soaking 24 hours, some guy got his unsoaked seed to sprout to the same size as the soaked seed in about 12 hours less. I can't seem to find the article though.

Oh, and seems like we didn't get what we payed for... the sack of oats is about 50% wheat. Actually a good thing because I was thinking we should have bought wheat too. I'll see what the seller replies to my e-mail though.

Feeding chix
Free range and
Spouted Sunflower seeds BOSS.
A Mash of fermented feed, I also use Braggs ACV w/mother. I have the drunkest I mean happiest chix around my area.

I wonder if chickens like getting drunk. Around here, wild birds will feed on rowanberries that have become fermented on the tree, and then they fly around all wobbly and stuff.

I think universally, animals enjoy getting drunk... I had a cat that drank beer

BC, peas, oat and what I assume is wheat. Our bag of oat seems to be a mislabeled 50-50 oat and wheat mix.

you aren't worried about different growth ratios then assume?

BC, not really. Some of the sprouts might not reach their full potential before I feed them, but I don't see that as an issue. The peas should grow quicker, but I have a feeling that the grains will start sprouting before them. I've never tried sprouting multiple varieties simultaneously though, so it will be interesting to see what happens.
