Morning all!  :caf   Where's my coffee?  Zumba kicked my butt last night.  Too old for this.  Plus I need sleep.  What's that?  Freezing rain today.  Yeah:( .  Has anyone heard from @sharon
?  I noticed you mentioned her yesterday or the other day @Amberjem
, but haven't seen her on here in a while.  Hope all is well with you Sharon.

My new CCL...the hen has been laying me an egg every other day.  I haven't seen the rooster mate with her or the pullet and I was super discouraged.  Then last night I cooked breakfast for dinner and got the bright idea to cook up one of her eggs.  BULLSEYE!  Yeah!  They are very skittish.  When I get near them, the hen and pullet hide behind the big rooster.  The 2 cockrells cower together.  They all run to the farthest corner.  I'm working with them, but I think the leghorn breed in them makes them flighty like this.

Big long day.  2:50am.  Gotta get showered and get to work.  Everyone have a great day.:D

Morning! Just keep working with them, you're new to them too... glad they're fertile, lol! :)

ahhh ok.. I was reading about that type of behavior the other day ...darn I forgot they said the scratching behavior after was something specific I forgot now..anyways they were showing what they culled for that it was a more heightened ppl aggressive behavior trait or something......so far the two big roo's are good.. Butler is a not cuddily until you catch him then he snuggles in but otherwise he is a hands off bird....... but I expected that he was 10 weeks old and barn raised by the Breeders daughter was her lil side business learning experience matty was chicken raised and brooded until 5 weeks old then I had them in the house and handled for a month so he is fairly tame.. I often get him pets at night when closing them up.. he isnt wild about it but he is comfortable with it

As long as the roo is good with his girls and not people aggressive, I don't mind if they aren't cuddly types... this one is getting on my nerves now tho... I gotta wait til my black Am's are laying to give his previous owner hatching eggs, then I'm gonna remove him... I want a black or Lav roo anyways, going for Lavs and black splits, not blues now...
