Crazy prices on those breeds, I don't think I could imagine paying more than a few euros for an egg or maybe 30-40 for a full grown bird.

Flappy seems to be more and more accepted into the flock every day. But there are still some issues when he's on the floor, the others start chasing him every once on a while. And this morning one of the chicks jumped out of the coop while we were doing the morning chores. Then it was just standing there in the snow, wondering what the heck the white stuff is, afraid to move.

Agreed. The prices are nuts. I seen some ducks yesterday on CL that were priced very fair. There was a drake Appleyard and the hen was Saxony. The 4 ducklings were called Applesax. I thought that was cool and they were all beautiful. The breeder even listed how to care for the ducks. I have all I can handle at the moment though. Still have to get rabbit hutches made

and mama rabbit is getting fatter! I need to send pics of them so maybe you all can help me determine the breed. ? I did go and look at a rabbit hutch off CL yesterday. Look is all I did. That thing was so flimsy, my rabbits are HUGE! Not like a Flemish giant, but this cage was not adequate for them.

10 minutes until I wake the crew up and serve up breakfast. Then 2 1/2hrs and they all head off!

Need to get out the good cam, phone just doesn't take quick enough pics, chickens move to much. Wanted to get a couple good ones for the Welsummer thread. My boy is getting his longer tail feathers, still calm and friendly.
