Edited out due to discovery of improper language. The argument rages on because of differences in brain function.
remember what thread were on now. I see the dress as white and gold and blue and black depending upon if I look at the top or the bottom of it.

I just see a dress I could never fit into.....
If you look the background is also altered. I have the same problem when my ink jet printed is running out. It prints up things not the exact color as it is. It can only use the colors it has in storage so colors are altered. Nothing scientific or special. In my humble opinion, Mostly a hoax to draw attention to a company to sell a product. My printer has 3 colors and one black. Amazing how much the black is used to help make the colors.

When "the dress" was having its fifteen minutes of fame, I saw an interview with the shop lady who had the dress in a store window...was it in London? If I am correct, the differences were seen "in person" as well as in pictures trying to explain that different people perceived it differently. (and yes, it sold out almost immediately, and the makers are also busy producing a "white and gold" cloth model, as well and a bazillion copies of the original Black and Blue model.

I considered doing the zip lock bag thing, but decided that it's less stress for the seeds to be planted directly in soil. I don't mind getting rid of the extras, even if no more seedlings emerge, we will have 12 pots of chilis with these. I'm guessing half of them will give up still (at least), but that's a lot better than last year. I started the same amount last year, and ended up with one pepper plant, and it tasted bad. It was some small paprika variety, no heat to it at all and no sweetness either. It looked pretty though.

Sam, have you had any issues with the Ti Dragonchili? Out of 12 seeds, only 2 seedlings so far, and it's been about two weeks since we planted them. The two other varieties have about a 75% germination rate.

The yeast and blowing into the bag are interesting ideas. I wonder if a bottle with some flour, yeast and water mixed and an airlock would be a good CO2 boost in the mini greenhouse.

The Ti seeds may be from my older seed cache. Sorry can't remember. I'll look at what I planted, see how they're doing, all the years of saving are marked down to give me an idea of viability. The bag concept works surprisingly well with little or no stunting that I have noticed. Sure make selecting the strongest plants easy. Co2 sinks to the bottom don't forget that part.

"So who’s right?

“They’re both right,” said Wally Thoreson, the vice chair of the department of ophthalmology and visual sciences at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Thoreson said that to perceive color, our brains perform a calculation that takes into account the color of the light around the object in question.

People who see a white and gold dress are being told by their brains that the light around the dress is tinged blue, likely from a “cool” light bulb.

People seeing a blue and black dress are seeing yellow-tinged light around the dress, likely from a “warm” light bulb.

This difference in perception is always happening in a subtle way, Thoreson said. One person might see a shirt as royal blue, another person sees navy. Thoreson, for example, sees his wife’s red dress as orange." //snip//

My old Nikon digital camera had a " white color correction" update that I never got installed into my camera. Here is "blue snow and background" for a very white- appearing chicken. The photo was not subsequently doctored or enhanced prior to upload. It is just what the camera lens "saw."
