Dixie Chicks

Karin took Hilma to meet a gentleman caller today. She's going to spend the day there, but he already took care of business twice while Karin was there. So around April 10th we should be getting baby bunnies.

Morning all. Been a crazy bad couple of days. Friday, last day, went well.

Saturday electric went out for about 3 hours. (I paid the bill!) It happens here a lot. With our road being a secondary, we are the forgotten ones sometimes. Luckily for us it was warmer than it has been on Saturday. Good thing because we have no firewood left. When elec came back on, internet was down. For a long time. We did lots of work around the house, then went shopping.

Sunday around 12am, little girl wakes me up. She is SICK! Puking, diarrhea, headache, body aches, ugh! Poor kid! Did what I could to help her all day & keep her dehydrated. As of last night the vomiting had stopped. She has a low grade fever, and needless to say, is not going to school today. In the meantime, today is my 1st day of work. So, hubby had to call out sick. Stress!!

Vehve you know it's been super cold when 30F feels like summer. We finally got some relief from the subzero, supposed to be in the 40sF all week, heatwave!

Weather History for March 9

1956
A whopping 367 inches of snow was measured on the ground at the Ranier Paradise Ranger Station in Washington. The snow depth was a state record and the second highest total of record for the continental U.S. (The Weather Channel)
That's over 30 feet of snow!

JWB, I feel for you and the daughter with flu. Hope she is all better now. First the homework drama after playing in snow, then the power outage, then the flu! Oh my! That is enough to make it a relief to go to work! Hope your first day at work was a good one!
