Bought a heater from wilco for about $45 for the goats. They may have had a smaller one for chicks, not sure on price....I run cheap so I'm more likely to go break the ice for them. Caught one of the orps eating the ice. Lol

hey anyone have any idea's soo being wet n stuff here we have lots of moss.. is there something to put down to reduce the moss but isnt harmful to the chickens if they are in the are where it is?
ya have seen it think we used some on the roof before @Sharps Big 50 found some soap at the dollar store that does it just as cheap for the roof without spending more...lso that would be safe for chickens? I'll check it out letcha know what I find next time I go to home depot....gawd I love that storeI think there's a product called "Moss gone" or something it's just a fertilizer it's in a balance the moss doesn't like so it's nitrogen potassium and potash if I remember correctly... N,P,K... Home Depot type places should carry it
would that hurt the grass? grr I have some gardening factiod wiggling on the edge of my meory about vinagar ..cant think of it right now...What about white vinegar. My parents use that on their residential driveway against moss.

Yep, vinegar will kill stuff....this is good if you're putting Apple Cider Vinegar in your waterers to kill germies and bac or if you're targeting weeds with white vinegar....but it will kill what is around the weeds as well. Works best in the sunshine.Vinegar can be used as a weed killer so it might burn the grass
Jem, Why kill the moss?
