I need to figure something quick for supper. I'm hungry now tnt.

I'm also cold. We have 13 with a -12 wind chill. The wind is coming from just the right direction to put a slight chill in the house. the house is at 68F.
I had to chuckle at the girls today. I opened the coop and the run. Not one would venture out on the whole 2 inches of snow we got yesterday/last night. I left the doors open for a couple of hours the sun was shining right in. When I went out to close them up, there was not a single chicken track outside the coop. what a bunch of chickens! lol.
I like the idea of greenhouse up top and an elevator. Maybe a glass elevator? I dream big. Go big or go home they say. I'm already home so I'll dream big.

supposed to drop down to -28C feels like -38 over night.. we did have a high of -19 during the day!

forgot to say that I did a few quick trips without a jacket today!

For broody hens, I just pick them off the nest whenever I go into the coop.

Maybe twice or three times a day at most.

I don't do anything more than that.

how long does it usually take before they stop? ..just had company stop bya nd went peeked out she is busy scratching round n stuff now course I closed the henhouse this time...

I bet he didn't even finish the bowl. He never does. I'm still waiting for him to "eat us out of house and home" as my mother always says.

No more rain, just cold wind. Wind isn't very hard, just has a very cold snap to it. Kept freezing my contacts an makin' my eyes water, lol. Was sunny and bright today, but wasn't as warm as it looked. I'd almost rather have the rain back, minus the mud of course, it was at least warm.

it's been warm and overcast here.. I was smoking in my bathing suit on the porch half expecting it to be a quick thing since I'd get too cold and it wasnt bad at all prolly 50ish somewhere..

If it had gotten to 50ish here, I'd have another coop up, lol. Yesterday was enough for me for now, but really want to get that other coop done. *sigh*
