The thing is if someone was hungry or their kids.... I would have given them the ducks and more eggs then they could eat! All they would have to do is ask or just hint! But omg don't steal from me.

We give eggs to the women's shelter now and still can't eat enough to keep up with the chickens. I also sell enough to pay for there food and upkeep.

I wonder if I use one of those plastic ice packs to put under my broody hen instead of ice cubes if it would work better then I wouldnt be getting stuff all wet as well

Sounds like a good idea to me, but I've never broken a broody before...

Jem, I've tried ice packs with limited success. Cage might be better, haven't tried. Giving them eggs works too, they stop sitting after 21 days
